Salò lake of Garda.

Salò is a wonderful village located on the shores of Lake Garda and is part of, along with other municipalities, of the Riviera dei Limoni. Many tourists know its charm and beauty even for a walk on the lakeshore.

Many bars, restaurants and ice-cream parlors that enjoy the day with a break, sitting out with a view of the lake shore. Spend a day or vacation, thanks to the presence of numerous hotels and campgrounds, these very beautiful and equipped with Swimming pools, parks and beaches.

Discovering palaces

among the most important are the Palace of the Magnificent Homeland and the Palace of the Podestà which today hosts the municipal offices but once belonged to the nobility. From here you leave the lakefront to enter the historic center which is a succession of alleys and narrow streets, surrounded by historic buildings but also shops of all kinds, attracting a lot of tourists. Like the precious Duomo of Salò dating back to 1453 and dedicated to Santa Maria Annunziata. Majestic outside and embellished inside it by the canvases of Romanino, Moretto, Zenon Veronese, Paolo Veneziano and a 15th century golden wood blade representing the Madonna in Throne with the Risen Christ.

The spring and summer seasons are the best if you want to be outside and practice various water sports. Here is the embarrassment of choice. Sailing school, diving, kitesurfing and boat or motorboat hire for those who want to explore the Garda Coast.

For the summer I recommend some beaches to enjoy even relaxation as well as fun. I claim that most of these are public but there are bars, restaurants and services available to everyone.

Those equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs, toilets and showers, are those of the Mulino and the Mokai Beach in the Gulf of Salò as the Rimbalzello beach near Gardone Riviera, offering parks, pools and animation.

To reach the other countries of Lake Garda you can take a boat trip, from Salò you can take it to Piazza Vittoria. Hours and prices on the Navigarda website.

If you are a market lover in the country, on Saturday morning you will see the stalls selling both food and accessories, clothes and handicrafts. On weekends and on public holidays parking is not easy. If you find someone paying in the side streets before the center, otherwise I recommend you take advantage of the paid parking spaces of the Italmark Shopping Center which is on your right as you go down to the center.

Lake Garda offers a lot and there are places where tourism is very active and attentive to the requests of the tourists themselves. In these places I grew up and I learned to appreciate them more and more, and every time I step up, for me it’s a new emotion.
