Zlatni Rat, translated as Golden Horn or Golden Cape is a beautiful long pebble beach about 300 meter long, located on a promontory in the town of Bol, on the southern coast of the island of Brac, Croatia.
Bol is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful beaches both sandy and pebbly, but also for the many natural water sources. The homes features grace the landscape all around making this place even more picturesque and magical.
In this ancient city, with stone houses, where once the inhabitants were mostly fishermen and sailors, nowadays you can still enjoy this spectacle of nature.
Zlatni Rat is the only beach in the world extending vertically to the coast, but it’s much appreciated and mentioned in many international magazines and websites for its pristine beauty that distinguishes it from other sea location as it changes its shape, with a strange play among wind, currents and tides.
Thanks to the steady wind, the beach is also frequented by lovers of water sports like surfing and kiteflying. You can do scuba diving and you can rent the necessary equipment by the diving school.
If you are lucky, you might find the pebbles of happiness, which in this beach are searched as in a real treasure hunt. Whoever finds them will be graced with joy, but we can assure that this will not be simple at all!
In this explosion of nature, you will find a pine forest where are the ruins of a Roman villa with an ancient pool. The forest surrounds the equipped beach which is supervised by lifeguards and safe for the whole family. Nearby there are also playgrounds, bars and restaurants.
Did we make you curious ? Did you ever think to a place like this, to say the least fantastic? The place is suitable for everyone, and we also recommend it for families with children, for a holiday of relaxation and tranquility.
Happy journey to all!
